A MANO NASTRINO reeds are reeds manufactured to a scale which has been determined by the long-term experience of Italian masters. The dimensions of the reeds, made with perfect precision and ground to a perfect profile, allow for the creation of tones with a wide spectrum of frequencies thereby achieving a purely pleasurable sound.

All reed tongues are made from an 8 mm wide sheet of reed steel with a strength of 2 000 N/mm² and ground individually on CNC grinders with a pre-tested profile to an accuracy of +/- 0.002 mm. The reed plates are made of aluminum sheet with a hardness of 160 HB using electro-erosive machining technology to an accuracy of +/- 0.01 mm with a minimal air gap of 0.03 mm on each side of the reed to achieve low air consumption when the accordion is played.

The reeds are made of dural Al sheet with hardness 160 HB. The channels are cut by electroerosive technology. The surface of the reed is ground. The sides of the reeds are grooved to create better wax adhesion to the reed and the headstock. The reeds are made of 120 mm wide strip sound steel with a strength of 2 000 N/mm². The dimensions of the reeds are according to the old master accordions.
